Workers on manufacturing assembly lines such as in the auto industry or food processing plants can benefit from anti-fatigue matting. Kitchen workers in restaurants stand for extended periods of time, as do bank tellers and sales associates in departments stores. Each of these environments calls for a slightly different type of mat. For example, in a kitchen, an anti-fatigue mat has to also be a grease-proof mat; in a locker room, the mat should be drainable; and in a bank, a plush, upscale appearance is a must. Basically anyone who stands in one position for a long time or walks the same area constantly can benefit from an anti-fatigue mat, so long as it does not pose a safety threat.
